SOTD: 1966 (Inspired by Eau Sauvage Parfum)
If i were to make list of best impressions/clones/inspired fragrances, i would place this in my top 10. Most clones do carry similarities with the original to the highest degree but very few has the depth and feel of the original.
1966, not only captures the amalgamation of notes but also embodies the soul of 2012 version of Dior’s masterpiece. If someone is to pour it into Dior’s bottle and sell it as original, no one would bat an eye. It starts off with sharp citrus note with the hint of greenness. Soon the heart of the fragrance, myrrh dominantes the fragrance, bringing smokiness and balminess to the table.
On performance front, it does not disappoint here as well. While projection isn’t monsterous, it does stay on your skin for a very long time.
I would highly recommend it to those who do not wish to pay exorbitant prices in the name of “vintage” bottle or fans of classic aromatic fougere.
A very decent and elegant perfume, but can’t be compared with the elegance of Sacred Beast.
Lasting: 5hrs to 7hrs.
Projection: 1.5hrs
